Tennison Family Thanksgiving
Tennison enjoyed a lovely Family Thanksgiving dinner this Sunday afternoon, November 12th, in the TMAC. Thank you to everyone who submitted photos to share! Here's just a small glimpse of the festivities:

2023 Community Health Fair Update
Tennison hosted our annual community health fair on Saturday, October 14th. We served many members of the community by providing free health screenings and vaccines. We also fed volunteers and nursing students, and we were even able to provide extra food to community members.

We received the following update from TRMC, which outlines all the ways we were able to positively impact the community.
Wesley Foundation Fundraiser
A lovely Wesley Foundation fundraiser was held on May 18th, 2023. Tennison has a long history of supporting the Wesley Center at NTCC, which is a free respite center available to the public on campus. The Wesley Center provides a safe place to study and hang out, provides hot meals weekly on Taco Tuesdays, and has a food pantry available to help the students meet their needs.
Mendelssohn and Mistletoe
Enjoy a free Christmas concert in our sanctuary on Saturday, Dec., 10 at 6 p.m.
The Mt. Pleasant Chamber Orchestra will join a community choir in a special performance. The audience will be invited to sing a selection of favorite Christmas songs. Come share the spirit!
I'm afraid of change
We organize our lives around our kids, our jobs, our marriage. But when those things change, it can be scary. Changes can seem like giant mountains to us in times like these. Nothing feels safe.
I feel discouraged
Discouragement is tough. We might even say that any true follower of Christ must eventually face AND overcome discouragement. There are times when it feels like Jesus is nowhere to be found. We need to see that we are not alone. Discouragement means we have lost our courage.
I feel like a failure
Failure does not rule over us. Every person belongs to God. He created us. He cares for us. He calls us by name. Say goodbye to your old life and become something greater than yourself.
I feel lonely
God is in our lonely places. Remember Jacob? “God you were in this place, but I never knew.”
If you and I care enough to help and heal our neighbors, we will see our own help and healing, too.
I feel angry
"Anger is the master that keeps us out of the world of others by locking us within ourselves." - William Willimon
Anger will not let you have peace. God will.
Happy Days!
Embrace what is true, good, and just. Those who seek wisdom will thrive and those who do not seek wisdom will not.
Can faith save you?
What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if you say you have faith but do not have works? Can faith save you? (James 2:14) We'd better get busy!
Unharbored
Who can rescue you from life's storms? Who is powerful enough to calm the chaos when there is no safe harbor?
gOD'S aMAZING pROMISES
Our cute kids shared a VBS song with the whole congregation on Sunday morning. Watch them sing, "There are promises for you and me in the B-I-B-L-E!"
Give It Away
There are so many who need help, just not enough who are willing to give it. Will you act on the compassion you feel?
I only wanna be with you
Jesus says to make God your priority. But how? We've got a lot to worry about and it's piling up fast.
I Want It That Way
The popular 90s band Backstreet Boys sang "I want it that way."
Think about this next time you say the Lord's prayer. "Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven." You're saying, "I want it that way." But what are you doing to bring a little heaven down to earth?
Losing My Religion
God sees right into who we are. And God doesn’t care how religious we are. All our self-improvement is fine, but we are never “better” than anyone else. We are always in need.
